Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. While in Charleston O'Dell's stories on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases caused the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing the strictest guidelines regarding the cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. Following her stint in Charleston, O'Dell worked as a co-anchor for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. After that, she was hired by Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. Her current position as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's reported on The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. The other shows she has hosted include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
